Nutrient Food Sources
Ellagic acid
Ellagic acid slows down P450 (phase I liver enzyme pathway) and therefore stops the liver backing up with toxic substances. It acts as a scavenger to “bind” cancer-causing chemicals, making them inactive. In addition, ellagic acid prevents the binding of carcinogens to DNA and reduces the incidence of cancer in cultured human cells exposed to carcinogens.
